What is Dance Yourself Fit?
Dance:
The dance class is designed to be relaxing and fun with a diverse range of dance styles utilising authentic music to create a session that will appeal to everyone. It's not about perfecting the steps, it's about embracing the joy of movement. Enjoy dancing alongside your fellow classmates, encourage each other and share in the excitement of learning something new.
Each class starts with a warm up and ends with a relaxing cooldown stretch.
We’ll take a journey through decades and cultures. From the 1920s Charleston's quick steps right through to present-day genres e.g Bollywood and Country. Get ready for a full-body workout that blends cardio, flexibility, and coordination. Let's dance through time and around the globe!
Lower Intensity Dance:
This dance fitness session is tailored for individuals who enjoy dancing and seek to maintain or develop their fitness levels, yet prefer a more relaxed pace and lower intensity workout.
Every session commences with a gentle warm-up routine to prepare the body and concludes with a soothing stretch to enhance flexibility and promote relaxation.
If you have any joint or health issues, this is the class for you.
Dance & TONE:
Improve everyday functional fitness. These classes help upper and lower body strengthening, control and balance (fall prevention). The exercise plan focuses on an emphasis on posture, with easy to follow moves to improve and maintain mobility and flexibility.
Each class incorporates dance inspired toning exercises with resistance bands or weights which help to strengthen and tone all over. Followed by floor or chair based work which targets the core and major lower body muscles. We end each session with a cool down stretch.
